I first met Carrie Miller and her partner Lisa Babros at an open house they were hosting very early on in our house hunt. Knowing that we were unlikely to jump into the market during this stretch, the outreach was whole to get a better sense of what we liked and didn't. By the time it came to pick our Realtors, it became an easy pick-- after all our correspondence, it was clear Carrie and Lisa were not only in complete tune with our wants (both a house and neighborhood) but they'd also managed to charm over my pets and daughter the first time they all met, no small feat on either front. I canceled our other RE meetings and hired them that day. Having both represent us on both the sale side and the buy side made things run significantly more smoothly than we anticipated. One or the other if not both were always there to help out in any way needed-- from meeting at our house at 10 pm at night to go over paperwork, to picking up and delivering a tree that didn't fit in our cars, to helping us assemble a headboard in preparation for the open house. Carrie and Lisa always rose to the occasion and then some. On the sell side, we ultimately ended up getting well over a dozen offers and nearly 10% over asking, significantly more than I was aspirationally hoping we could get for our home when we first hired Carrie and Lisa. On the buy side, we ultimately found our dream home in an amazing neighborhood and worked through the minor issues that required tracking through escrow. All of this was against a backdrop of what was then an emerging pandemic threat that put both of our transactions into unchartered territory. It wasn't without some bumps along the way, but that was more a reflection of uncertain times than anything negative to say about Carrie and Lisa. If anything, their continuous engagement and support are what helped get us through relatively trouble-free and with only the most minute of wear and tear. Can't recommend it to local friends or those looking to move to the South Bay enough.
